OVERVIEW
I was tasked, as a first project of the year, to build a One Button Game in Unity 3D. I chose a simple runner, with taps to pause, interact with the environment and change direction. In this cozy, explorative game, the player controls Ember, a small fire child on her way home, cautious about getting caught in the rain.
I found this project to be particularly challenging, as I was learning on the go, as well as organising an entire game from A to Z. I am very proud of the level design, especially the variety and potential of the game.
However, I wasn't able to complete the 3 levels I had planned, and struggled with some bugs due to time management. I learned a lot, and am determined to do better on my next projects.
